Laundry

Benjamin never ventures into the basement.  The noise of the furnace, which is right next to the stairs going down, scares him, so he rarely goes near the door.

So, the other day, Andrea felt pretty confident that she could take off her pajamas and throw them in the wash that she had just started, and throw on a clean set of clothes that she just pulled out of the dryer.

Just as the pajamas go into the wash, leaving Andrea in just underwear and a sports bra, she hears little Benjamin’s voice behind her, from the stairs: “What are you doing?”

“I am just washing clothes,” she responded.

Without missing a beat, Benjamin replied, “Well, you don’t have to wash all of them!”
