A Journey Back In Time…and to Notre Dame
In 1992 I took a road trip with a good friend to the Midwest to visit family and friends, Notre Dame and Purdue. I then wrote about it for the college newspapers. I thought I would share.

Early in my life I wouldn’t consider myself “well-traveled”, but my perspective of travel changed after a trip to Spain with Andrea. Despite initial fears, the experience transformed me. Now, travel, though stressful, is an important part of my life.
As I sat on a North Carolina beach in the late afternoon, a small scene unfolded around me. It was mundane and probably not very memorable to most. However, the Fisher, a Couple, the Coast and the Queen all caught my eye.
A visit to York College of Pennsylvania brought a flood of memories of the place where I would not only find the love of my life, but I also fell in love with a campus and that city, and, more importantly, all those people I encountered along the way. All those people that helped me, even in the smallest ways; all those people I shared a laugh or a tear with; all those people I studied, partied, and prayed with. All those random, nameless people I encountered in a typical day. I love the way they affected my life, whether I am still in touch with them to this day or not.
Nothing could have prepared me for these moment when both of my sons became men.
The West is the Best, but it is so much more that makes this country amazing!
Four Corners…a truly magical and memorable place in the west…Trust Me.
Yosemite is nothing short of a religious experience.
Small picas, giant bison and so many animals in between. Friendly, curious, and funny, these creatures were just as majestic as the lands they live in.
Like many before us, Ben and I discovered the magic Of being on the road and seeing this great country with our own eyes.
